October the 22th, 2010, WTware 4.9.12 (beta)

  • Released new WTware5. If WTware5 is installed in new network without DHCP-servers, terminals will boot just as soon as setup is finished. Download, start installer, press several times "Next" and it's all you need to have working terminals.
  • Graphic configurator. Unfortunately it won't support configs of previous versions.
  • Four simultaneous sessions. Switch between sessions using popup menu or buttons Win-1..4 or Win-arrows.
  • WTware DHCP-server.
  • Yet in this version not supported smart-card redirection, scanners, USB-IP. We are working on it.

March the 10th, 2010, WTware 4.5.44 (Release candidate)

  • New sound redirection. It should help if sound was too quiet or it was stuttering, especially in Windows7. If you specified "sound_control=sw" in configuration file, try to remove this parameter.
  • Sound will work on ebox-3300.
  • Fixed mtsc.exe failure when Remote Control session opened in WTware.
  • Fixed error with 32-bit color in 2008 server.

February the 20th, 2006, huge update.

  • Terminal boot from CDROM, USB flash and IDE disks.
  • Terminals disks now connect and disconnect manually. Move mouse cursor to right-bottom screen corner to see disk management menu.
  • Video configuration wizard. From now best video card search is much easier. All you need is to test all possible values from menu and compare their working speed.
  • New video driver package 'T' - svgalib 1.9.24. 24 video drivers from the latest ISA-models ro Intel i815 and VIA/S3 Unichrome.
  • Package 'X' update. X.org 6.9.0 is used. The newest video cards should work, including Intel i915/i925.
  • New work with graphics cash. Redraw now will be much faster. Terminal uses all available memory for image cash.
  • New access to terminal floppy/CDROM/USB Flash procedure. Files are able to have long (more than 64 symbols) names. Unicode in file names is supported.
  • tftp-prefix is supported. Distribution uses directory corresponding to current version. Beta-version can be unpacked to tftp-server directory, and old files remain untouched. Loader for version load should be specified in DHCP as full path from ¥ ¥§-server root, i.e. 'pro/4.1.9/pxelinux.0' or 'pro/4.1.9/wtshell.nbi'.
  • Different connections are configured independently now. Resolution, start program and other parameters can be set for each connection.
  • Menu for user selection added.
  • New option for USB-keyboard usage in configuration file.
  • Configuration files now are stored in configs directory.
  • New WTwizard service added, that simplifies terminal configuration. It is able to:
    • store video drivers tests results
    • automatically generate configuration file with console parameters
  • New WTWare TFTP service added. It works as a service like Microsoft tftpd.exe. Also it creates log as tftpd32.exe.
  • Terminal can work as print-server, not connecting to terminal server, not loading video drivers or checking licenses.
